Edge AI chip startup Netrasemi raises Rs 107 crore from Zoho, Unicorn India Ventures
Chennai: Amid the efforts to indigenise CCTV equipment supply chain, Kerala-based chip startup Netrasemi has raised Rs 107 crore in Series A round from Zoho Corporations and Unicorn India Ventures. It develops an integrated circuit called system on chips (SoC), which enables computing in internet of things (IoT) products for applications such as surveillance, industrial robotics, and smart home and retail devices.
Founded in 2020, Netrasemi is building SOCs that can process video and AI workloads directly on devices without sending them to the cloud. It has developed two SoC products, a video analytics chip and a microcontroller chip for IoT sensors, currently in the prototyping stage.
