Ubisoft has appointed Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot as co-CEOs of its new subsidiary, marking a significant step in the company’s strategy to transform three of its most valuable franchises into billion-euro properties.
The subsidiary, first announced in March, will focus exclusively on developing Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry into “evergreen, multi-platform game ecosystems” with backing from strategic partner Tencent. The Chinese tech giant’s investment is expected to complete by the end of 2025, pending regulatory approval.
