Perplexity AI app beats ChatGPT on Apple App Store in India, thanks to Airtel
A day after Airtel’s strategic offer of a free Perplexity Pro subscription was made public, the Perplexity app has seen a record number of downloads, especially on iOS. The Airtel promotional offer has pushed the AI search engine to the top of the App Store in India, surpassing OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This achievement was shared by Perplexity AI’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas, via his LinkedIn post.
