OpenAI launches ChatGPT Agent to automate complex tasks: What it is capable of, who can use it and more

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Agent – a new feature in the AI chatbot that is designed to handle tasks on users’ behalf – from planning events to building presentations. Announcing the new tool, the company said that “ChatGPT can now do work for you using its own computer, handling complex tasks from start to finish.” Unlike previous versions, ChatGPT can now browse the web, run code, interact with APIs, and work with tools like Gmail and Google Calendar—based solely on your instructions. With the update, the AI bot can handle requests like “look at my calendar and brief me on upcoming client meetings based on recent news,” “plan and buy ingredients to make Japanese breakfast for four,” and “analyze three competitors and create a slide deck.”
