Delhi High Court orders Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho to remove these 21 products violating Reliance and Jio trademarks: ‘If allowed to continue, could risk….’
The Delhi High Court has directed major e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho to immediately delist products that infringe on Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) ‘Reliance’ and ‘Jio’ trademarks. Justice Saurabh Banerjee issued a dynamic injunction on July 10, 2025, restraining 21 alleged infringers from manufacturing, selling, or advertising products using the company’s well-known trademarks. The court ruled that defendants cannot use Reliance’s artistic work, noting that the infringing trademarks create an impression that products are manufactured by RIL. “The product of defendant nos.1 to 21 are sold through online e-commerce platforms where consumers rely on brand name and logos to identify the origin of goods, in such circumstances, if any confusion between such products, if allowed to continue, could risk consumer safety,” Justice Banerjee observed in the order.
