Applicants refute Govt claims
Srinagar, Jul 10: While the Information Technology (IT) department has claimed smooth functioning of the J&K RTI portal, several applicants and RTI activists have refuted government’s version.

Notably, on Wednesday Azad Parwaz, a lawyer and general secretary north Kashmir, PDP had taken to social media and highlighted erratic functioning of the portal. On his post on X, Parwaz had tagged CM Omar Abdullah, narrating the ordeal faced by RTI applicants. Parwaz had said that the portal was functioning properly for a few days of its launch but its technical glitches have ever since been leaving users frustated.
