Microsoft to cut 9,000 jobs in fresh round of layoffs: Report

Washington DC [US], July 3 (ANI): American tech giant Microsoft will lay off nearly 9,000 employees, about 4 per cent of its workforce — in what is its third round of job cuts in recent months, the company confirmed on Wednesday (local time), according to a CNN report.

The report said this is Microsoft’s largest round of layoffs since 2023, when it cut 10,000 jobs. The move comes amid a broader wave of job cuts in the global tech industry.
