US govt is now allowing entrepreneurs to apply for self-sponsored H-1B visas

The pathway to the US H1B visa has become significantly easier in 2025 following a policy change that redefined the concept of ’employer’. Business owners and startup founders can now self-sponsor their visas without the need for a US-based ’employer’ to qualify for the program. There are however, several conditions to be met for eligibility — including financial capabilities, and having a specialty occupation and business plan.
