India fixed communication services revenue to rise to $16.5 bln in 2029: Report

India’s revenue from fixed communication services revenue such as fixed wireless access (FWA) and wired broadband is expected to rise to $16.5 billion in 2029 from $12.8 billion in 2024, growing at a compounded annual rate (CAGR) of 5.2%, on strong demand for broadband services, according to a report.

But voice communication over fixed line is set to fell at 1.7% over 2024-2029 underlined by a drop in average revenue per user as more and more subscribers adopt mobile/app-based communication services, and as operators include free voice minutes with their fixed line bundled plans, the report by GlobalData said Thursday.
