Vodafone Idea shares jump over 7% on reports of govt considering relief on ₹84,000 crore dues

Vodafone Idea share price surged over 7% on Tuesday following reports that the central government is evaluating multiple options to provide further relief to the financially stressed telecom operator on its outstanding regulatory dues of ₹84,000 crore. Vodafone Idea shares rallied as much as 7.02% to ₹7.01 apiece on the BSE.

According to a report by The Economic Times, one of the proposals under consideration involves extending the repayment period for adjusted gross revenue (AGR)-related dues from the current six years to 20 years.
