Booking of railways Tatkal tickets needs Aadhar-based OTP authentication from July 1: Ashwini Vaishnaw

New Delhi [India], June 17 (ANI): Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday announced that tatkal ticket bookings, based on OTP verification, will come into effect by July 1st, to remove middlemen.

Additionally, the minister also announced that the Railways is also working on a project to issue passenger reservation charts 24 hours before the departure time of a train, currently it is being issued 4 hours before, causing inconvenience to passengers holding wait-listed or RAC tickets.
