Salesforce buys Informatica for $8 billion

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire data-management software firm Informatica for $8 billion, the former’s chairperson and chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Benioff confirmed on Tuesday. This is in addition to Salesforce’s existing investment in Informatica.
