Ola Krutrim engineer dies by suicide, Reddit post flags ‘extreme work pressure’

On May 8, the body of 25-year-old machine learning engineer — Nikhil Somwanshi — was found in Bengaluru’s Agara Lake.

Employed at Krutrim, Ola’s artificial intelligence division, Somwanshi had joined the company in August 2024 after completing his master’s degree at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
