Apple to pay Rs 810 crore to settle Siri listening case: Here’s how to claim, eligibility, last date and more

If you’ve used a Siri-enabled Apple device anytime since 2014, you might be eligible to receive compensation. Apple has agreed to a $95 million (roughly Rs 810 crore) settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit accusing the company of its voice assistant, Siri, turning on without user intent and capturing private conversations.

Filed in a California federal court in 2021, the case Lopez v. Apple was brought by users who claimed their Apple devices recorded private conversations after Siri was accidentally triggered. While a settlement has now been reached, Apple continues to deny any wrongdoing, as stated in the legal notice reported by USA TODAY.
