    Sony considering chip unit spinoff: Report

    Sony is reportedly considering spinning off and listing its semiconductor division, possibly retaining a minority stake, according to Bloomberg. Though Sony denies concrete plans, the move would follow its broader strategy of restructuring, including a recent financial arm spinoff, as it focuses more on its growing entertainment business.
