WinZO, India’s largest interactive entertainment platform, in collaboration with the Interactive Entertainment and Innovation Council (IEIC), released the India Gaming Report 2025 titled “Consolidating Growth, Driving Innovation, Building Resilience”. The report marks a pivotal moment in India’s digital economy, charting the unprecedented rise of online gaming as a pillar of technological and economic advancement.

The report underscores India’s unstoppable ascent in the global gaming market. As of 2024, India is home to 591 million gamers – around 20 pc of the global 3.4 billion user base. In terms of app downloads, India leads the world with 8.6 billion mobile game downloads, accounting for 15.1 pc of global gaming app downloads. These numbers place India ahead of both the United States (4.3 billion), and Brazil (4.2 billion) combined. When including alternative download platforms, India’s total game app downloads in 2024 rise to 11.2 billion.
