Interview: Won’t raise stake in Vodafone Idea, telco must clear government dues, says Jyotiraditya Scindia

The government has no plan to convert any further statutory dues of Vodafone Idea into equity, as it does not want to turn the private telco into a state-run company, communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told ET in an interview. The minister also said Elon Musk-owned Starlink has yet to meet all guidelines for securing a satcom permit. He also said he’s working to make India Post profitable in the next five to six years.
