Wipro closes FY25 with 10,000 freshers, cautious on FY26 hiring

IT services major Wipro concluded FY25 with the addition of 10,000 freshers, in line with its stated annual target of hiring between 10,000 and 12,000 campus recruits. While the company aims to maintain a similar hiring target for FY26, it will closely monitor the evolving business climate before committing to final numbers.

Speaking at the company’s earnings conference, chief human resources officer Saurabh Govil said Wipro would remain measured in its approach to hiring, given the ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties.
