One in five Apple iPhones sold across the world are now ‘made in India’ as production hits $22 billion
Apple has significantly increased its iPhone production in India to $22 billion in the fiscal year ending March 2025, representing a 60% jump from the previous year, according to a recent Bloomberg report. The Cupertino giant now manufactures one in five iPhones in India, marking a substantial shift away from its traditional Chinese manufacturing base.
Of the total Indian production, approximately $17.4 billion worth of iPhones were exported from the country during this period, as confirmed by India’s technology minister on April 8.
