China ‘bans’ export to these US technology companies starting April 10 to ‘safeguard national security and interests’
The tit for tat between the United States of America (USA) and China continues. In continuation with the same, China has announced an export ban on 12 American companies. In a statement, China’s Ministry of Commerce, said, “In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Export Control Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Export Control of Dual-Use Items, and in order to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation, it is decided to include 12 US entities including American Photonics Corporation in the export control list.”
The commerce ministry’s statement further added, “This means that: One, the export of dual-use items to the above-mentioned 12 US companies is prohibited; any related export activities currently underway should be stopped immediately.
