Google may soon allow you to watch ad-free YouTube videos without paying but there’s a catch

YouTube has been encouraging users to either subscribe to Premium or sit through ads while streaming videos and audio. In yet another move to drive subscriptions, the Google-owned platform is now testing a feature that lets Premium members share an ad-free viewing experience with non-subscribers.

According to YouTube, the experimental feature is currently available for testing in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Turkey and the United Kingdom for a limited time. The company also indicates that it may expand the feature to a broader audience of Premium members in the future, depending on the results of the initial testing phase.
