OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has unveiled a significant update to GPT-4o, the advanced model powering ChatGPT. In a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), Altman highlighted the improvements, emphasising the model’s enhanced capabilities in coding and technical problem-solving. He described the update as a “big stride” in advancing AI’s functionality.

The latest iteration of GPT-4o is particularly adept at tackling complex coding challenges, generating cleaner and more efficient code, and identifying necessary changes in existing codebases. Altman noted that the model’s ability to follow detailed instructions has also improved, making it more intuitive and creative in handling user prompts.
