Ending regulatory war on crypto and Bitcoin, says Donald Trump as the US president promises to make America ‘Crypto capital of the world’
The US President Donald Trump vowed to make America “the undisputed Bitcoin superpower and the crypto capital of the world.” In a pre-recorded video address played at the Blockworks Digital Assets Summit in New York City on Thursday, Mach 20, Trump said that his administration is ending former President Joe Biden’s “regulatory war on crypto and Bitcoin” and has called on Congress to pass “landmark legislation creating simple, common-sense rules for stablecoins and market structure.”
According to a report in New York Post, President Trump told attendees that “pioneers like you will be able to improve our banking and payment system and promote greater privacy, safety, security and wealth for American consumers and businesses alike,” unleashing “an explosion of economic growth” and helping “expand the dominance of the US dollar” with dollar-backed stablecoins.
