BharatNet-III

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is working on a tender through which it will appoint entities called “Independent Engineer” which will be tasked “for validation, audit, inspection, acceptance testing and invoice processing etc” of the BharatNet-3 project that will be implemented by some other agencies being selected by BSNL through another tender. The appointment of IE will be for three years, which is the rollout period (900 days) specified for the completion of the BharatNet-3 project.

As per tender condition, only central or state PSUs were eligible to participate as the lead bidder or sole bidder.
