Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launches $1 billion fund for creator economy

Union information and broadcasting minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled a $1 billion fund for the creator economy at a press briefing following a high-level session on the World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025.

What is WAVES?

During the session held in New Delhi on Friday, Vaishnaw said that WAVES, scheduled to take place in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, will provide the creator community with a platform to produce high-value content.
