India will emerge very powerful, very strong: Ashwini Vaishnaw

India will not only be a leader in providing technology services but will also be a ‘major creator’ of technology in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), Union minister for electronics and IT, railways and information and broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw said at ET Awards for Corporate Excellence, where he was conferred the Reformer of the Year honour. In conversation with ET’s Surabhi Agarwal at the event, Vaishnaw spoke of how India’s pragmatism will not only tide it through the current global uncertainties, but also help it become a formidable leader of the Global South.
