Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently mocked a group of Democratic senators for sharing nearly identical videos featuring the same talking points. At least 22 senators posted videos on X (formerly Twitter) using a verbatim script and matching interstitial footage, criticising President Donald Trump for allegedly worsening inflation. Each video starts with a clip of Trump promising to “bring prices down starting on day one,” followed by the senators refuting this with a blunt “s— that ain’t true” before delivering the same scripted message.

“Since day one of Trump’s presidency, prices are up, not down,” the senators uniformly state. “Inflation is getting worse, not better.”
