IISc researchers innovate new way of making bleach using zinc-air batteries

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have developed an energy-efficient method to produce hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), widely used as bleach and disinfectant, using zinc-air batteries. The innovation can also degrade industrial pollutants such as toxic dyes.
