Facebook-parent Meta faces lawsuit over hiring practices in US

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is facing a lawsuit alleging that it prefers hiring foreign workers over American citizens because they can be paid less. A US federal judge, according to Reuters, has ruled that the lawsuit can move forward, allowing three US citizens to pursue a proposed class action against the company. The lawsuit is filed under the case name Rajaram et al v Meta Platforms Inc in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, with case number 22-02920.
