Facebook down: Users not able to login or send messages

Facebook users worldwide faced disruptions on Thursday (February 27) morning as Meta’s social media platform experienced a major outage. The issue, which began at 7:36 AM, left users unable to access their feeds, send messages, or log in to their accounts.

According to DownDetector, reports of the outage surged to over 18,000, with the majority of issues affecting the website. Users encountered an error message stating, “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can”. While the website was down, Facebook’s mobile app appeared to function normally, allowing users to browse and interact without issues.
