Perplexity announces “Comet” browser, expanding AI search vision
Perplexity, a company known for its AI-powered search engine, has announced it is developing its web browser called Comet – a move seen as a threat to several other leading AI names like ChatGPT, Bard, Grok and likewise more.
The announcement came via a post on the social media platform X, where Perplexity also invited people to sign up for waitlist. Right now, Comet is unavailable, and the company hasn’t said when it will be released or what it will include. But it has a name- Comet- with people being actively hired by the company to help build it.
