Apple’s ‘Make in India’ gains under threat from potential Trump reciprocal tariffs

Apple could be among the hardest-hit companies if the Trump administration imposes reciprocal tariffs on electronics and smartphone imports from India. Such a move could disrupt Apple’s growing manufacturing investments in the country. Auto component manufacturers, who export parts worth an estimated $7 billion to the US this fiscal year compared to $1.4 billion in American imports, also risk losing business if tariffs are raised on Indian products, according to an assessment by The Times of India.
