Karnataka Cabinet approves Rs 79 crore for semiconductor lab, Rs 75 crore seed fund for startups

The state cabinet on Thursday decided to set up a seed fund of Rs 75 crore to promote startups in regions beyond Bengaluru city. The cabinet took note that four-fifths of the startups and innovation are concentrated in Bengaluru and that there was a dire need to diversify across districts.
