Google launches ‘AI co-scientist’, an AI system for scientists: Read with CEO Sundar Pichai has to say

Google has launched an AI system called “AI co-scientist,” built on Gemini 2.0, to assist scientists in developing new research hypotheses and plans. As per the company, researchers can use natural language to specify a research goal, such as understanding the spread of a disease.

The AI co-scientist will then suggest testable hypotheses, provide a summary of relevant literature, and propose potential experimental approaches.
