South Korea finds a ‘Tiktok connection’ in DeepSeek, and the country is not happy with it

In a recent development, South Korea’s data protection regulator has discovered a connection between the Chinese AI startup DeepSeek and ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok. This revelation has sparked significant concern among South Korean authorities and the public, leading to immediate regulatory actions.

As per a report by Yonhap News Agency, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) confirmed that DeepSeek, known for its advanced chatbot technology, has been sharing user data with ByteDance.
