Google wants iPhone users to download this AI app
Google is asking iPhone users to switch to its dedicated Gemini app. The company announced that it is removing Gemini support from the main Google app for iPhone users. While initially accessible through the Google app, Gemini’s full functionality, including features like Gemini Live, has been exclusive to the standalone app for iPhones which was launched in November 2024.
In an email sent to users, the company is informing iPhone and iPad users that Gemini is “no longer available” in the Google app. This follows the removal of the Gemini/Search switcher which Google reportedly started disabling in iPhones earlier this month.
