Elon Musk says, he’s not the ‘original DOGE’

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, clarified that he is not the “original DOGE.” The clarification came after a post that delved into historical federal workforce reductions during the Clinton-Gore era.

Musk shared a post highlighting a major government overhaul during Bill Clinton’s presidency, which saw the federal workforce cut by over 377,000 employees, the largest reduction since World War II. This initiative, led by Vice President Al Gore, was part of the National Partnership for Reinventing Government, initially known as the National Performance Review.
