Elon Musk-owned AI company may secure a $5 billion AI server deal with Dell

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence (AI) startup xAI is close to finalising a deal with Dell Technologies, a report claims. Under this deal, which is reportedly worth over $5 billion, Dell may supply the company that develops the ChatGPT rival Grok chatbot with servers optimised for AI work.

A Bloomberg report cited an anonymous source familiar with the matter who claims that the deal includes selling servers equipped with Nvidia GB200 semiconductors, which are in high demand for AI workloads.
