JioHotstar launched: These JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar users will get free upgrade to JioHotstar

JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar have officially merged to form a new platform called JioHotstar. This merger is part of a collaboration between Viacom18 and Star India. Announcing the launch of the official JioHotstar app, the company said that JioHotstar will offer nearly 3 lakh hours of entertainment, unmatched live sports coverage, and cater to over 50 crore users.

Existing Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema users with subscription to get free JioHotstar subscription In an official release, the company said that JioHotstar is free to access for now, meaning users can stream their favourite content without a subscription. The company is likely to adopt a hybrid model where users can initially watch content for free before being required to subscribe to a plan.
