US Vice President JD Vance has an ‘AI regulation warning’ for Europe

US Vice President JD Vance has cautioned European leaders that their sweeping AI regulations may stifle innovation, while strongly opposing content moderation, which he labeled as “authoritarian censorship.” Outlining the Trump administration’s “America First” stance, Vance made it clear that the U.S. intends to maintain its dominance in AI and opposes the European Union’s stricter regulatory approach.

“We believe that excessive regulation of the AI sector could kill a transformative industry,” Vance told the summit of CEOs and heads of state in Paris, according to a report by news agency Reuters.
