Apple’s future AR glasses plans may still be alive

Apple hasn’t completely abandoned its ambitions for standalone augmented reality glasses, despite recently shelving plans for a Mac-tethered version of the device, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

While Apple recently canceled development of its lightweight AR glasses that would have connected to Mac computers, Gurman reports that Apple’s long-term vision for creating independent AR eyewear remains intact. The company is taking a more measured approach rather than rushing to market with an interim solution.
