Google Messages to soon get WhatsApp video calling support

Google Messages is set to introduce a new feature that will allow users to initiate WhatsApp video calls directly from the app. This integration aims to simplify communication by enabling seamless video calls without switching between apps.

According to a report by Android Authority, a recent APK teardown of the latest Google Messages app version, users will see a new video call icon in the top-right menu when chatting with someone who also has WhatsApp installed.
