Google Photos introduces new grid customisation options to reduce clutter: Here’s what it means for users

Google Photos is rolling out new grid customisation options to help users declutter their photo galleries. The latest update, version 7.14, introduces a “Show content from other apps” setting that allows users to filter out unwanted content from third-party apps like Gmail, WhatsApp, and Slack.

Previously, the overflow menu in Google Photos only offered options to stack similar photos and adjust the layout density. Now, users can choose to hide clutter from other apps, automatically removing screenshots, GIFs, and memes from their photo grid.
