After India, South Korea bans ChatGPT, DeepSeek for government employees
South Korea’s industry ministry has temporarily banned government employees from accessing DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence startup, due to security concerns as well as ChatGPT, a report has said. This move is part of a broader government effort to promote caution regarding the use of generative AI services.
Citing a government issued notice, news agency Reuters reported that employees at ministries and agencies have been urged to exercise caution when using AI services, including DeepSeek and ChatGPT, in the workplace.
