Google becomes ‘first causality’ of the US President Donald Trump’s tariffs on China

Google became the first American company to face China’s ire after US President Donald Trump announced tariffs on the country. In a rapid response to President Trump’s imposition of a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, China announced additional tariffs on various US products and initiated an antitrust investigation into tech giant Google. The State Administration for Market Regulation declared on that it would probe Google for alleged antitrust violations. Concurrently, Beijing imposed a 15% levy on U.S. coal and liquefied natural gas exports and a 10% fee on oil and agricultural equipment.
