Union Budget 2025: ‘Higher fiscal allocation for BharatNet to boost broadband in rural schools, health centres’

NEW DELHI: The Union Budget 2025, which has boosted allocation for BharatNet by 238% year-over-year to Rs 22,000 crores in FY26, will significantly extend broadband connectivity in rural government-run secondary schools and primary healthcare centres (PHCs), according to India Ratings (Ind-Ra) and EY India.
