Apple CEO Tim Cook at earnings call: iPhone beat ‘all records’ to become top-selling smartphone in India

Apple reported record-breaking performance in India during the December quarter, with the iPhone emerging as the country’s top-selling smartphone model, according to CEO Tim Cook. The iPhone maker is now accelerating its expansion plans in what has become a crucial growth market for the company.

“India set a December quarter record during the quarter,” Cook announced during Apple’s earnings call, where the company reported global revenue of $124.3 billion.
