    Apple posts record $124.3B quarter despite iPhone slowdown, China challenges

    Apple posted its strongest quarter ever with $124.3 billion in revenue, even as iPhone sales missed expectations and China revenue dropped significantly.

    “Today Apple is reporting our best quarter ever, with revenue of $124.3 billion, up four percent from a year ago,” CEO Tim Cook said in the earnings announcement. The company’s net income rose 7.1% to $36.33 billion compared to the same period last year.
