Meta plans to invest up to $65 billion for capex in 2025; Shares gain 1.6% in early market session

Meta Platforms Inc. aims to invest $60 billion to $65 billion in capital expenditure in 2025, according to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg’s post on social media platform Facebook on Friday, January 24.

“We’re planning to invest $60-65B in capex this year while also growing our AI teams significantly, and we have the capital to continue investing in the years ahead,” said Mark Zuckerberg in his social media post.
