iPhone 16 ban in Indonesia may lift soon; I strongly believe…, says investment minister
Indonesia is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Apple that will essentially lift the ban on iPhone 16 sales, a report has cited a minister as saying. The ban, imposed in October, stemmed from Apple’s failure to comply with the country’s domestic manufacturing requirements for smartphones and tablets.
Bloomberg that following months of negotiations, a resolution appears imminent.
“I strongly believe it will resolve very soon,” said investment minister Rosan Roeslani, adding, “Hopefully within one or two weeks, this issue can be resolved.”
